David Lankford, Jr.
Chief Financial Officer

David has over 25 years experience in corporate finance.  He is responsible for all financial aspects of the Pinnacle Golf portfolio.  He has over 8 years of hospitality/golf experience including operations and finances for multiple course properties and multiple course management operations.  David’s background includes working with Ron Jaworski’s golf management group, Lake Lure Golf Resort and operating 200-400 room properties for Six Continents Hotels (Holiday Inn).  He has extensive experience in IT and network operations.  He received his B.S. in Accounting from The University of South Florida.  David has two children and lives in York, S.C. with his wife Jan.


David Taylor
Managing Partner, President

David has over 17 years experience in the golf industry and is the co-founder of Pinnacle Golf Properties. He is responsible for the overall development and marketing for the company courses.  He spent 9 years as Director of Marketing/Public Relations for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama.  This $140 million public golf development project consists of 24 courses in nine (9) Alabama cities.  While in Alabama, David served on the Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travels’ Advisory Board, the Advisory Board for the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama and the Board of Directors for Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., in Birmingham.  David has consulted with the State of Tennessee and The Bear Trace facilities, The State of Georgia, and The State of West Virginia.  He has worked in event management with the PGA TOUR, Sr. PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, and has consulted numerous individual golf courses in the Southeast on business objectives and marketing programs.  David is a native of North Carolina and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. David and his wife Elizabeth have 2 children and live in Charlotte.


Kim Worrel, PGA
Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer

Kim is a Class-A PGA Professional with over 28 years of industry experience in the Private, Semi-Private, Resort and Daily Fee arenas and is the co-founder of Pinnacle Golf Properties.  Kim is responsible for the overall operational activities of the company.  His experience involves the management of multiple course operations throughout the United States as well as new course construction.  In 2008, Kim was voted as one of the World's 20 Most Admired Operators by Golf Inc. Magazine.  Prior to forming Pinnacle Golf Properties, Kim was employed by Benchmark Golf where he was the Director of Golf Operations for their 18-course management arm of Benchmark Hospitality.  He served for five years as Vice President and Director of Golf Operations for Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, a 24-course operation consisting of over 700 employees.  He directed all golf operations for the Woodlands Resort and Country Club in Houston, Texas, which included construction management for the addition of 36 holes to their eighty-one (81) hole course operation.  Kim spent over 10 years working with the Jack Nicklaus organization in their Club Management and New Club Development group.  Kim was a project manager for the construction of Valhalla Country Club in Louisville Kentucky (site of the 2000 PGA Championship) and served as their first Director of Golf.  Additionally, Kim has held the position of Director of Golf for Kauai Lagoons Golf and Racquet Club in Hawaii and Frenchman’s Creek Golf Club in North Palm Beach, Florida.  Kim is a native of Indiana and attended Ball State University. Kim has three boys and lives in Charlotte with his wife Sue.
